The movie is set on Paradise Island, a Club Med type playground for nubile young women and lecherous young men. The whole thing is run by a semi-famous singer named Coconut Pete Bill Paxton. When the new masseur Lars Kevin Heffernan arrives, he is welcomed by the new aerobics instructor Jenny Brittany Daniel. As soon as Lars arrives, staff members start dying. Plus there are no boats to get the folks off the island and the radios and phones have been destroyed. People keep getting killed so the film is yo-yoed between horror and humor, and neither is interesting, amusing or entertaining. Plus it all seems to go on forever. Every time you think you have reached the end, something or somebody pops up and drags it out for another sequence. Bill Paxton will have a hard time living this fiasco down. He is on view just to utter profanities and ridicule the fame of Jimmy Buffett.
Common Sense says
Horror comedy about an aging rock star, Coconut Pete Bill Paxton , who opens an island resort called Pleasure Island where the guests' sexual satisfaction is guaranteed. The party is dampened, however, when the staff members begin turning up dead and the killer appears to be playing out the verses of one of Pete's tunes. Directed by Jay Chandrasekhar. A man and two women prepare to have sex: one woman takes off her top to a bikini top, she begins licking and fondling his chest, the two women take off their tops we see bare breasts , they kiss each other and caress the statue of a monkey with an extremely exaggerated phallus; the two women kiss the man, one moves down his torso to presumably perform oral sex we hear slurping and moaning and the other kisses his neck and licks his ear. A man and a woman have sex in a jacuzzi we see them through a glass wall that looks onto a bar where other people are dancing : we see the woman's leg wrapped around his waist, they both thrust, and we see their bare buttocks.

Two thumbs down. We agreed across the board on this one. Not funny, not scary, but with some decent nudity and a kinda good Jimmy Buffett parody from Bill Paxton. A laid-back singer named Coconut Pete runs his own island version of Club Med off the coast of Costa Rica, and somebody is killing all his staff.
